Here’s all the latest news from the club

Player Movements

The club can confirm that Charlie Johnson has left the Quattro-Tech Westwood Road and has joined Royston Town. We would like to thank Charlie for his efforts whilst he was part of the first team squad and wish him all the very best at his new club.

Also leaving is Peter Abimbola. Peter has been with the Ives on loan from Northampton Town in recent weeks and has been recalled by the Cobblers. On his first game back, he came on as a substitute in their game with Derby County. We wish Peter all the best for the future.

Next first team fixture.

The next game for the first team is the Isuzu FA Trophy 2nd round fixture at Aveley on Saturday. Aveley are currently having an excellent season in the National League South, and will be a difficult opponent for the Ives. The journey is no more than 90 minutes from St Ives, so if you can go, then please do so as the Ives will benefit from as much support as possible on Saturday. Kick-off is at 3:00pm.

Victory for the Reserves

St Ives Town Reserves had a good victory on Saturday as they recorded a 3-2 win at Swavesey Institute. The win means that it is four wins out of four in all competitions.

Defeat for the A Team

The A Team suffered a defeat on Saturday as they fell to a 5-3 loss at Hartford Rangers in a Junior Cup tie. Two of the three goals for the Ives were scored by Jude Sedgwick.

Youth Teams

The under 12’s had a resounding 3-0 victory at Peterborough RTC. Two goals for Sam Lowe. The under 13’s had a day to forget as they were on the wrong end of a 9-0 reverse at Mulbarton but better news for the under 14’s who won 4-1 at Haverhill. Meanwhile, there was two defeats for the under 15’s and under 16’s who lost against Leiston and Chelmsford respectively. But, the under 18’s secured victory as they beat Hemingford Colts 4-2 in a County Youth Cup fixture.

Defeat for the Ladies Second Team

There was defeat on Sunday for the Ladies Second Team who lost 3-2 at home to Netherton United. The result leaves the Ladies second team 10th in the table on four points.

150 Club

It was the first draw of the 150 Club for this season on Saturday and congratulations go to Paul Hunt who won £150.00. The second prize of £100.00 went to Bobby Reason and the 3rd prize of £50.00 went to Paul Moseley. Congratulations to everyone. Christmas Draw and NYE Event

A reminder that you can take part in the Christmas Draw. It’s just £1.00 a square with a number of prizes on offer and these are available to purchase in the clubhouse on matchdays. The draw will be made at the Kettering Town game on Boxing Day. A reminder also that you can purchase a ticket for the New Years Party at the club. The fun starts from 7:30pm on 31 December and tickets are priced at just £5.00. Please see/contact Marc Walker or Gareth Chapman for further details.

Programme Cover Competition

On the subject of Christmas, a reminder that we are currently running a competition to design a festive football themed front cover for our match programme v Kettering on Boxing Day. The competition closes on 11 December, and is open for Children up to the age of 11 years old. Click here for more details.

Thank you to all of our fans who came to the Quattro-Tech Westwood Road on Saturday and cheered the boys to victory. A fantastic attendance of 482, and we hope to see you all for our next home game which is against Barwell on Monday 27 November, with a 7:45pm kick-off.
