Sunday 27 January

The Ladies 1st team won a hard fought encounter 1-0 in tricky conditions at Hatfield Peverel in the ERWFL D1. A Georgia Stancombe penalty in the 1st half was enough to claim all 3 points. Emily Smith was awarded ‘Player of the Match’. The Ladies currently sit in 2nd place on 31 points, just 1 point behind Bowers & Pitsea, but with a game in hand.

The Ladies Development side miss out on the knockout stages of Cambridgeshire  League Cup as they were beaten 1-4 at Cambridge City Development in Group C. The Ladies Development finished the group on 9 points, level with Riverside and Cambridge Rangers. However, it is Riverside who progress along with Cambridge City to the quarter final stage courtesy of a better goal difference.

The U15’s played a very skilful Walsham Le Willows in the EJA Green Division and came away with a 2-1 victory following a very mature display with goals from Connor and Harry.

The U14’s followed up on their maiden league win last week with another victory over Leiston, this time winning 4-0 in the EJA Green Division.

The U13’s put in a great performance against Plantation Youth in the Royston Crow League, coming from 0-1 down to win 4-1. A Hat trick from captain George Shepherd and a goal from Charlie Sellick sealed the points to take them top of the league with 4 games left to play.
