Prior to the game against Halesowen on Saturday, St Ives Town Football Club paid their respects to those who had made the ultimate sacrifice.
The club was joined by St Ives Mayor, Cllr Phil Pope who laid a wreath. Also laying wreaths were Marina Howlett from the Hunts FA and Corporal Mackenzie who was also joined by fellow military personnel, Sapper Harry Peters and Lance Corporal Hodge. Mike Robinson was the standard bearer whilst Kevin Charter provided a rendition of the last post. Following the last post, a minutes silence was observed. A number of the junior teams were present too as the whole club came together to remember the fallen.
