St Ives Town are delighted to announce the signing of Jake Hutchings.
The centre back arrives after leaving Coalville Town earlier this week. The 28 year old joined Coalville from Leiston. Whilst at Leiston, Hutchings went on to become their vice-captain. He has also had spells at clubs including Torquay, Braintree Town and Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.
Commenting on his arrival at the Quattro-Tech Westwood Road Ives manager Ricky Marheineke said “To attract a player of Jake’s experience and quality is a huge coup for the club. Jake will add so much to our current group both on and off the pitch and I’m really excited to have him on board and can’t wait to have him involved”.
Leaving the Quattro-Tech Westwood Road is Benji Mensah who has accepted an offer from a step two club. Everyone at St Ives Town would like to thank Benji for his efforts during his time with us and wish him all the very best in the next chapter of his footballing journey.
