Match Preview – Ilkeston Town v The Ives

St Ives Town put their FA Cup exploits to one side tonight as they resume their league programme with a trip to Ilkeston Town.

The Ives go into the game having gained just one point from the last nine available.  That came at Hitchin Town last Monday night when they returned with a 1-1 draw.
Ives manager, Ricky Marheineke might be tempted to shuffle the pack and include some players who started on the bench in the FA Cup win over Chasetown at the weekend.  One player who will be missing is defender Julien Sakka who is out due to an ankle injury.
The Ives visit an Ilkeston who are back in step three this season after their promotion from the Northern Premier League Midlands.  Their early season form has seen them struggle and the Robins have also changed manager.  However, recent results have seen a draw against Bedford and a win against Stratford and they currently sit 15th in the table on 11 points.
If you are not making the trip, then there will be updates on social media throughout the evening and a full match report on the website tomorrow.
