Whilst the first team were recording victory against Kettering in the FA Trophy, the reserves were tasting defeat as they fell to a 4-1 reverse at Fordham. The result pushes the reserves down to fifth in the table, and they will be looking to return to winning ways next Saturday when they travel to Histon for another league game.
Better news for the A Team who won 3-1 at home to Ramsey Town Reserves in a Junior Cup fixture. Dylan Parry-Jones and Jude Sedgwick on the scoresheet for the Ives. The A Team are next in action on Saturday when they make the trip to Eaton Socon for a Bill Coad League Cup fixture.
Sunday saw youth team action and the under 12’s made the trip to South Lincolnshire Swifts, and they returned with a 1-0 victory. Cian Schuetz with the goal for the Ives. That result put the under 12’s joint top with Nene Valley. The under 14’s and under 16’s both suffered defeats. The under 14’s went down to a 4-1 defeat at Cheshunt in a league cup fixture whilst the under 16’s lost 3-1 at Cambridge City.
Finally, the ladies second team were defeated 5-2 at March, a result that means they are still looking for their first victory of the season.
