No game for the first team this weekend, but the reserves were in action as they made the trip to Abingdon United. Sadly they suffered a heavy 6-2 defeat. The result means that the Ives slip to fifth in the table, five points behind leaders March Town United Reserves who have played a game more. Next up for the reserves is a trip to Fordham on Saturday.
There was plenty of youth action and the under 12’s had a good win away at Deeping United as they recorded a 2-0 victory whilst the under-13’s went down to a 5-0 defeat at Godmanchester Town. Better news from the under 14’s who recorded a fantastic 8-1 victory over Soham Town Rangers. Special mention to Xavier Pietrzyk who scored five of the eight goals. The under-15’s were also in action but fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Godmanchester. Oliver Gaillard with the goal for the Ives. Meanwhile the under-16’s also tasted defeat as they fell to a 4-0 loss at home to Histon.
Finally, the Ladies second team were in action and they drew 0-0 at home to Lakenheath Casuals. A result that moves them up to 9th in the table. They are in action next on Sunday 15 October when they host Godmanchester Town.
