Skipper Michael Richens and midfielder Ed Hottor have recently chalked-up 100 appearances for St Ives Town Football Club.
Richens joined the club during the 2021/22 season from Kettering Town where he also made just over 100 appearances. The 28 year old has been an ever present in the Ives team and as club captain he continues to lead with example often scoring crucial goals, including some spectacular efforts such as his strike against Marine in the FA Trophy earlier this season.
Like Richens, Ed Hottor has been a regular in the Ives line-up since joining in the curtailed season of 2019-20. Originally from Ghana, Hottor started his career in the Italian second tier – Serie B – at Triestina, where he signed his first professional contract at 17. A year later, he was signed by AC Milan and spent six years on the books of the seven-time European champions without making a senior appearance. He arrived in England in 2018, playing for both Kettering Town and Banbury United before signing for the Ives.
Congratulations to both players on reaching the milestone of 100 appearances for the club and here’s to many more!
