Brandon Njoku

Powerful striker Brandon is another first year professional that has joined the Ives on an initial one month loan from League One Cambridge United. He earned his pro contract with some impressive performances and important goals for the U’s during his two year scholarship at the Abbey Stadium. He joined Cambridge after a spell at West Ham United and was another of the integral parts of United’s FA Youth Cup run last season. Brandon enjoyed successful work experience loans at St Neots Town and Cheshunt last season and sees the Ives as a step up on his football journey.

Lewis Lembikisa

Lewis is a striker/winger who was formerly with Wolves, but last season played for Chester-Le-Street United.  Lewis has also played for Harlow Town Reserves in the Essex Senior League and joins the Ives ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Jonathan Edwards

Aged 26, Jonny is a striker who started his career at Peterborough United, and was in the same Posh squad as former Ives player, Conor Washington.   After several loan spells in non-league, he joined Hull City after a successful trial with their under 21 squad.  A move to Accrington Stanley followed before returning to non-league playing for FC Halifax, Maidstone United, Royston Town and most recently, FC Romania. Always a man with an eye for goal and a real handful for any defender Jonny ended last season as Ives leading goal scorer.

Ethan Johnston

Ethan is a 20-year-old centre forward who came through the Northampton Town Football & Education Programme and their academy to earn a professional contract with the club in February 2020.  At the beginning of last season, he signed for eventual Premier Division Central Champions, Banbury United before switching to the Quattro-Tech Westwood Road Stadium last November.

Nabil Shariff

Nabil is a 30-year-old prolific striker who began his career as a scholar at the now defunct Rushden & Diamonds during their conference days.  Since his departure when the club disbanded in summer 2011, he has moved around a number of clubs at National League and Southern League level scoring goals wherever he has gone.  He has rattled in 42 goals in 73 appearances over two seasons for AFC Rushden & Diamonds prior to that he had registered 14 goals in half a season at St Neots Town and can also list Alfreton Town, Kettering Town, Oxford City, Banbury United, Tamworth and Stratford Town amongst his former clubs.
