St Ives Town continue with their league programme on Tuesday evening when they make the trip to Needham Market.
The match comes fresh on the back of the weekend defeat to Redditch United which saw the Ives lose 3-2 in a game when they were leading 2-0 at half-time. That pattern is becoming somewhat of a feature so far to their campaign where a lead has been conceded late on, and it is something they will be looking quickly to eradicate as they look to get their season back on track.
IVES TEAM NEWS
The positives for the Ives are that Johnny Edwards came back into the squad on Saturday and looks set to get more game time at Needham Market. Myles Cowling should also be available after returning from an injury that has seen him sidelined since the start of the season. Skipper Michael Richens will also be available once more after missing out on Saturday with suspension.
INTRODUCING NEEDHAM MARKET
The task ahead of the Ives will not be easy as they face a Needham Market side who haven’t lost in the league since the opening game of the season. That was a 6-1 reverse away at Stratford Town. On Saturday, the Marketmen collected an excellent 2-0 win at AFC Telford United, a result that moved them up to third in the table. Needham Market are still in the FA Cup, and on Saturday have a third qualifying round tie at Peterborough Sports.
