St Ives Town make the trip to Hitchin on Saturday as they bid to claim another win on the road.
Last Saturday, the Ives recorded an excellent victory at Nuneaton, with the only goal of the game being scored by Brandon Njoku. The Cambridge United loanee followed this up with a goal in the 1-1 draw with AFC Sudbury on Monday night.
IVES TEAM NEWS
Njoku looks set to lead the line again for the Ives as regular striker Jonny Edwards remains sidelined following an appendix operation, and is still some weeks away from returning to fitness. Elsewhere, fellow Cambridge United loanee, Dan Barton could come into contention after missing the first few games of the season with injury. Meanwhile, recent new signings Kellan Hickinson and Carlos Flood may force their way into the starting line-up.
INTRODUCING HITCHIN
Hitchin won their first two games of the season. A 2-0 win at home to Alvechurch was followed by a 2-1 win at league newcomers Long Eaton United. However, the Canaries fell to a 2-0 defeat at Needham Market on Tuesday evening. Ex-Histon player Finley Wilkinson has already bagged two goals this season, and will be one of the key players to watch for the Canaries. Hitchin finished in 12th position last season, a marked improvement from the season before when they flirted with relegation for a lot of it, and escaped the drop by just a solitary point.
