Penfold returns to Westwood Road

The club are delighted to announce the deadline day loan signing of Morgan Penfold from Peterborough United FC.

Many will remember Morgan from his spell with the club during our first ever season in the Southern Premier Division in 2016/17. On completion of that youth loan Morgan was rewarded with a two and a half year professional contract with the Posh.

After missing much of this season with a back injury, Morgan has had successful spells with both Bedford Town and Hitchin Town while performing well and scoring on a regular basis for the Posh U23’s.

The versatile attacker is a huge boost and will give manager Ricky Marheineke some more fire power for the last six games of the season.

Please join me in welcoming Morgan to the club and we all hope your second spell with us is as successful as the first.

Sunday 24 March

The Ladies first team remain on course for the ERWFL Division 1 title courtesy of a 1-0 win at Stevenage Ladies Reserves.

Ladies manager Darren Marjoram said –

A fantastic away win for the Ladies and another clean sheet! Never have I seen a group who are prepared to work so hard for each other to get a result. Today’s goal scorer was Emily Smith (sponsored by Gary Reed Photography) and player of the match voted by Stevenage was Tierney Coulson (sponsored by Tim Schuetz Plumbing & Heating Ltd). Got to give masses of credit to every single player today though as they all played their part. I couldn’t be happier!
