Ricky has made another signing in that of defender Camron McWilliams who will be available for tonight’s game. Camron has been at Cardiff City & Northampton Town. Northampton loaned him to the Ives 2 seasons ago and Ives fans may remember the superb solo effort he scored at Bromsgrove Sporting.

St Ives Town U15’s looking to add to the squad for the 21/22 season

The under 15’s are looking to add to their squad for the 2021/22 season. 

The team is run by Phil, who is qualified at UEFA B level and is 100% committed to development and progression for his team.

The club recently promoted and announced a partnership programme with Peterborough Utd, where players will get opportunities within that scheme to showcase their abilities. 

St.Ives Town FC Youth Update – 7 June

Over the weekend, our new u 13’s & u14’s for the playing season 2021/22 started the trials for their EJA teams. 

Across both age groups we had over 70 very enthusiastic trialists from all over the district that are looking for the next challenge in youth football.  

Under 15’s – Played at Norwich’s Colney training ground in a select tournament – Won 4, drew 1, lost 1. Credit to the lads for such a strong performance. 

Next seasons u12’s – Holding open trials on Wednesday 16th & 23rd June, 5 – 6 pm on the 3G at St.Ives Outdoor Centre.  If your son is going into year 7 from this September and interested in a new challenge. Please e-mail sitfcyouthdevelopment@gmail.com

The Ives to partner up with The Posh for 2021/22

St. Ives Town Football Club have agreed with Peterborough United to become a partner club for the 2021-2022 campaign.

From The Posh Website – 

Posh are looking to build strong and lasting relationships with local football clubs. The idea of the partnership is to establish a successful link and pathway with outstanding local grass root clubs. This partnership will have positive benefits for both clubs, providing opportunities for players and staff members at partner clubs, through integration with our network of highly qualified coaches and our sport science team.

Posh Academy Head of Recruitment Sam Gaughran said:  “We are really excited that St Ives Town FC have agreed to become a Partner Club for the 2021/2022 season. St Ives are a forward-thinking club that do great work in the community helping players develop and enjoy their football. Peterborough United will be working closely with St Ives to help develop their players and coaches and building a long lasting positive relationship.”

Paul Everest, St Ives Town Youth Development Manager, said “We are really pleased to partner up with Peterborough United. This is something the club has spoken about for a while and really happy that is finally over the line. We are looking forward to working closely with Peterborough United to help develop our teams and coaches and this is important step to help develop the club.”

St. Ives Town FC U12 2021/2022 Season

St. Ives Town FC recently announced major investment in a new state of the art 3G playing surface at Westwood Road, which will be ready for the start of the 2021/22 season. Alongside this exciting project the club are expanding its Youth Development programme.

We are delighted to announce that we are hosting a three trial events for this successful squad in preparation for the 2021-2022 season. The team play in the Peterborough Junior Alliance League but are preparing to enter the Eastern Junior Alliance league at U13’s, which many see as the most competitive league in the Eastern Region and sits between Academy and County League Football. 

Stage 1 & 2 will be training sessions with the third stage being a trial match.

If your child will be in school year 7 for the 2021-2022 academic year and is looking for an exciting opportunity to develop and enjoy new facilities, please find below the details of how you can register your interest and for further information**.

Local tradesman Tim Scheutz wins MyJobQuote competition

The winner of the MyJobQuote tool kit competition has been announced with Tim Scheutz, a plumbing and heating contractor from Cambridge, taking home £250 worth of tools and equipment. 

Tim’s tool kit included a DeWalt drill set, a Pro Dry Core Case and Holesaw set.

Tim was delighted by the news, saying of the win:

Sports Therapist Vacancy

Jess Guthrie leaves the club

We are sad to report that physio Jess has had to make the difficult decision to step away from her role as club physio.

Jess has been a loyal and valuable member of staff for a number of years and will be missed by us all.

Due to work commitments Jess will no longer be able to work with the first team or scholars and we all wish her every success going forward and hope to see her at Westwood Road soon.
