U15’s Manager’s Report – Paul Everest

After a successful first season as under 14’s, the team saw a few players leave to further their opportunities with other teams.

This brought some new challenges to find new players but also the chance to look further afield for players that wanted to join The Ives and step up into the Eastern Junior Alliance, I also needed to replace my Co-Manager Craig Jackson, as he was pursuing a new option and starting a new team.

I’m pleased to announce that Alex Ashton from Spartak Saffron Walden has joined as co-manager, I’m also pleased to announce the signings of Harris Ashton, Craig and Alex McWilliam Cervera (all three ex Spartak) Josh Williams (Wisbech St.Mary) and Riley Barratt (Over Sports).

The under 15’s have had a very positive start to their 2nd season. Starting with a good pre-season friendly win v Peterborough Sports Elite 2 – 1.

Both goals coming from Jool’s Priest. Followed by a 1 – 1 draw v Hertford Town, again the goal scorer was Jool’s Priest.

We played our first competitive game of the season on the 10th Sept v St.Neots Town in the first round of the Hunts County cup, and were comfortable winners with a 5 – 0 Win. Goal scorers were Josh Williams 2, Isaac Everest 1, Mihayl Mitkov 1 and Jools Priest 1. The next round is v Priory Parkside on the 15th October.

The Teams next 5 fixtures are away to Hullbridge Sports (EJA League Challenge cup), Home to Newport Pagnell, away to Histon, home to Felixstowe & Walton and away to Priory Parkside (Hunts County Cup).

We will keep you updated with the results and hopefully look forward to a challenging but successful season.
