Following their hard-earned victory away at Beaconsfield at the weekend, ‘The Ives’ are now on a 6 match unbeaten run. From those games, we’ve taken 14 points from a possible 18 and are now placed 9th in the league. Over the next two matches we’ll be hoping to further consolidate that position. Tuesday sees a re-arranged visit to ‘The Rovers’, this will be third attempt to play the match following previous postponements due to the weather, so hopefully it will be a case of third time lucky.
Barton Rovers are sitting prominently in 6th position, just below the play off places and 7 points above St Ives, so they’ll be gunning to take the spoils and should be feeling confident especially considering their last league defeat at home was way back on 19th August!!! Nevertheless, with similar current form and ‘The Ives’ aspiring to do the double, this match is all set up to be a classic encounter.
For those fans seeking to travel to the match…
There is NO coach booked for this match. If you don’t already, it may also be worth following @SaintsCarShare on Twitter which is the unofficial St Ives Town account helping supporters travel to away games by car sharing and is run by @rebel33foghorn. Updates will also occasionally be tweeted by @stivestownfc.
Hope to see as many fans as possible cheering on the Saints.
