The Poppies are presently sitting in 6th position of the Central Division but six points off 5th place therefore they will be looking to close that gap with all three points over the Saints at Latimer Park. Kettering have seen defeats to Barton Rovers and Uxbridge in recent weeks but bounced back with a 4-0 thrashing over Ashford Town on Tuesday night. On the other hand, the Saints were at the end of a 5-0 thrashing by Royston Town, ironically after two excellent wins over Egham Town and North Greenford Town. A win for the Saints see’s them close the gap on 10th place Uxbridge with games in hand.

Daventry Town vs St Ives TownDav Town New Badge

Date: Saturday 5th April 2014
Competition: The Calor League Division One (Central)
Kick Off: 3pm
Address: Communications Park, Browns Road, Daventry, NN11 4NS

Directions: Exit M1 J16 from Northampton follow the A45 westbound into Daventry, crossing the A5. Bear left at the first roundabout onto the A45 Daventry Bypass. Continue over the next roundabout onto Browns Road. The club can be found on the left hand side at the top of Browns Road

Daventry are still sitting in pole position to take the Division One Central crown in four weeks time and a win against the Saints on Saturday would keep them in contention with three games in had to play over Dunstable Town and Rugby Town. After an excellent run in the FA Cup (which must be applauded) Daventry accumulated several matches in hand and subsequently dropped to 5th in the table. However, their next four games are against teams in the bottom half of the table.
