The Saints bowed out of their epic journey in the FA Trophy with a crushing 4-1 home defeat to the Dabbers in blustery conditions at Westwood Road and will be feeling frustrated in a game they felt they could have conquered in. With the game goalless at the break, it appeared that it would be the odd goal that clinched this tie. An injury to Saints keeper; Nick Bennion meant that Karl Gibbs took the gloves but he was unable to prevent Matt Bailey scoring on 57 minutes. Avelino Vieira brought the game level on 60 minutes with a fine back post header. Three goals in the last 10 minutes killed the game and swept away the Saints hopes of even a replay on Tuesday night. Alex Frost, Russ Courtney and Ross Davidson all netted to secure safe passage through to the draw on Monday morning.
