Once again the Saints make a Saturday journey South to Northwood FC as we take on ‘The Woods’ for the first time this season. The Saints have an impressive away record in The Calor League and will be looking to press on from an excellent 5-2 Tuesday night away victory at Uxbridge FC.

Northwood are presently sitting in 9th position, two points behind but with one more game played to date. A win for our opponents could see them leap frog the Saints closer to the play off position.

Jez Hall talks to the website about our trip to NorthwoodJez Hall

“Team are expecting another tough away day on Saturday. Northwood have won 5 on the bounce, and we have won 5 from 6, so should be a good game. The team are exceeding all expectations at the moment, sitting in 6th place. We have one of only two unbeaten away records left in the league (with Royston), so would be great for this to continue for as long as possible.

The lads are enjoying their away days in this league, some excellent grounds, and the away support is making these day so special.

We have no new injury worries. Bennion and Alsop are out injured, and Meechan and Roberts are on loan at Ely for a month. We will have the same squad as midweek at Uxbridge.”
