Saturday marks the anniversary of the Hillsborough Disaster and with the League’s permission both clubs have agreed to a 3.07pm kick off for this match.
Rugby Town are sitting in joint 2nd position of the Division one (Central) with Slough Town on 77 points and only 4 points behind league leaders; Dunstable Town. In our previous meeting, back in September 2013, The Valley came to ProEdge Westwood Road and ran away with all three points after an impressive 3-0 victory. Since then they have managed to secure a top 5 position with the sole purpose of seeing them progress to Step 3 of the non league ladder. In their previous three matches, things have not gone to the previous form book with 0-0 draws with Aylesbury Chalfont St Peter. Their other match was a 2-1 defeat to Northwood.
The Saints, on the other hand, seemed to get things back on track on Tuesday night with an impressive 2-1 victory away to Potters Bar Town. In the previous three matches they had been defeated by Kettering Tow, Royston Town and Daventry Town who are all in the hunt for the play off’s this season.
