Following Tuesday’s league cup exit to Royston Town, St Ives can now need to focus on the league against a high-flying Hanwell Town. Sitting two points below Kettering in 2nd spot with four consecutive league victories, “The Geordies” are looking an extremely strong outfit. For those of you wondering about the nickname, the club was formed in 1920 by a group of natives of Newcastle-upon-Tyne working in the area, who adopted the black and white stripes of Newcastle Utd as their colours. Hopefully, the strip colours will not put “The Saints” off and our lads can make it 3 league wins in a row and return with 3 points.
“Come on you Ives”….
