‘The Ives’ mid-week win over Barton Rovers provided a welcomed 3 points at the ProEdge. Having gone a goal down after the break, Stuart Eason came on a netted a hat-trick much to the delight of all, providing the first home victory since 6th September. The second half in particular offered some very enjoyable football from the home side in this team winning performance. We now look towards Saturday and hope to emulate the result and bring back 3 more points. The last meeting of the two teams (only 3 weeks back) saw Bedworth run out 3-1 winners at the reverse fixture on our home ground. The Saints will be gunning for a similar result in their favour!!!! Bedworth have lost their last two league matches but even worse are now on a running streak of 5 losses in all competitions. St Ives, however, will need to pay attention to Bedworth’s top goal-scorer Daniel Dubidat who’s bagged 8 in the league to date and like Stuart Eason took a hat-trick on Tuesday night, unfortunately for them, not enough to overcome Coleshill in the Birmingham Senior Challenge Cup.
