2014/15 Season

Barney McLaughlin – Goalkeeper
Barney signed from Histon where he was a scholar and was also part of the Successful FA Youth Cup run. He had a successful loan spell at the club at the end of the 2013-14 season where he received many man of the match awards and we are delighted he has decided to join the club on a permanent basis.

Luke Mason – Goalkeeper
Luke came through from the under 18 squad and made it to the first team during the 2014/15 pre-season friendly matches. Has shown great potential and promises to be a trustworthy shot-stopper.

Andres Gutierrez – Defender
A Spanish born defender who has had previous spells with Cambridge City & Haverhill Rovers. He is a strong central defender who will put his body on the line for the team and never likes to shy away from a tackle.

Daniel Moyes – Defender
A reliable player who has also followed manager Ricky Marheineke from Huntingdon Town. A whole hearted player who has played various positions to sacrifice himself for the good of the team and is a welcome addition to the club this season.

Jamie Alsop – Defender
Jamie has been a consistent performer as he enters his fifth season with the club. His season last year was cut short due to injury but has come back in excellent shape looking to excel in the 2014-15 season.

Jonny Hall – Defender
A hungry player who was keen to move on from Godmanchester Rovers where he became a consistent performer  at left back. He joined the Ives as he is eager to play at a higher level to aid his football development.

Jordan Lambert – Defender
Jordan enters his fifth season with the club, he originally joined on loan for Cambridge City but has never looked back after that loan spell and stayed with the club ever since. A strong aerial central defender with excellent pace.

Luke Smith – Defender
Following a successful spell during pre-season Luke joins the club from Sawtry. He is a former Histon Academy player who has an excellent frame, is strong in the air and a up and coming young defender.

Ollie Medwynter – Defender
Ollie joins us from Huntingdon Town after a successful season in the UCL Premier. A right back who was a key part to Huntingdon’s success over the last few years as a consistent performer in the their solid defence.

Will Fordham – Defender
Club Captain Will Fordham has made over 500 appearances for the club, scoring over 100 goals as a central defender. Excellent in the air, at either end of the pitch, and renowned as one of the best central defenders around.

Ben Seymour-Shove – Midfield
A former Peterborough United Academy player who has made an excellent step up into senior football. He was a standout performer last season for Huntingdon where he scored 35 goals. He has joined the Ives to play for his hometown club and develop as a player.

David Cobb – Midfield
Now deemed a veteran, David Cobb is a fans favourite after sealing the promotion to step four with his late winning goal at Shepshed . He always offered a threat in attack, a tricky winger with excellent pace a superb left foot.

Dan Banister – Midfield
A former Northampton Town academy player Dan has made an excellent step into senior football since signing from Corby Town. He has great technical ability and can create things going forward for the team.

Hayden Bream – Midfield
Hayden signs from Histon where he was a Scholar. He was part of their successful FA Youth Cup run to the fourth round in 2012/13 where they defeated Crawley Town and Bradford City before hosting Liverpool at the Glassworld Stadium. A hardworking central midfield player who fits the mould of a committed St Ives Town player.

Jimmy Dean – Midfield
Joined St Ives Town for the 2012/13 season from Peterborough Northern Star. A real winner who has always sacrificed himself for the team. A whole hearted player who always puts his body on the line for the sake of the team.

Jon Stead – Midfield
Joined for the 2012/13 season from Peterborough Northern Star, helped us get promoted with 18 goals and a lot of assists. Jon is a technically gifted midfield player who can play in a number of positions across midfield and upfront.

Max Roberts – Midfield
A player who has come from our Under 18’s, has all the credentials to be an excellent player. Can play either right back or central midfield.

Scott Sinclair – Midfield
Scott has previously worked with coach Jack Cassidy at Wootton Blue Cross. A Luton Town Academy player who has also had spells at Bedford Town and Stotfold. An exciting winger who combines excellent pace with a skilful touch.

Karl Gibbs – Forward
Joined us for the 2012/13 season and was a huge reason for our success in gaining promotion during the same season scoring 33 goals. Again influential during the 2013/14 season helping the team consolidate a mid-table position. Excellent in the air, but also scores some great goals with his feet as well.

Stuart Eason – Forward
Stuart Eason was given the opportunity to step up from local football at Huntingdon Town  by manager Ricky Marheineke. He didn’t disappoint and with excellent aerial ability scored 38 Goals in two seasons.

Will Muzvimbiri – Forward
Will worked for current coach Jack Cassidy as a youth team player at Cogenhoe United and joins from Kettering Town where he impressed during the early parts of the 2013-14 season. Will is also a capped Zimbabwe under 21 International.

Ricky Marheineke – Manager
Ricky joined St Ives Town as manager at the beginning of the 2014-15 season. He has had a very successful period with Huntingdon Town where he worked his way up from reserve team manager before taking over the first team. During his period of tenure he took the team up into the UCL Premier Division from Division One. He then established Huntingdon as a competitive top half UCL Premier side on limited resources. Three months into the 2013-14 season Ricky decided to take up a new challenge and joined Conference North side Histon as assistant manager where he remained until accepting the opportunity to manage is home town side St Ives.

Jack Cassidy – Assistant Manager
Jack was brought to the club by Manager Ricky Marheineke after the pair worked together for eight months at Histon, where Jack was Youth Team Coach. He was on the first team coaching staff when Histon miraculously stayed up on goal difference at the end of the 2012-13 season. Jack is a UEFA B Licensed Coach who has also had spells as a coach with Cogenhoe United & Northamptonshire County Representative side.

Paul Swannell – Goalkeeping Coach
Paul has worked with manager Ricky Marheineke at Huntingdon Town where he served as goalkeeping coach and assistant manager. He has had a previous spell as a coach with Maidenhead United.

Liam Peaks – Physio
Liam has joined the club as an experienced physio who has previous experience working with Huntingdon Town. He will become a valuable member of the coaching staff.
