The last meeting between these sides ended up with an Ives 2-3 victory away in the league cup back in October 2013. Much has changed since then, however, with the Saints sporting virtually a new team, so past performance is irrelevant, but current form still has a bearing. Although the Ives lost to Royston on Boxing day, a team who are likely to be contenders for a play off spot come the end of the season, we had some excellent passages of play and gave Royston a run for their money. Things are still looking positive and The Saints will be looking for an immediate bounce back to winning ways. For you stats lovers, our last away defeat was on 1st Nov at Bedworth, so the lads will be aiming to extend this unbeaten run further still.
One to watch : Having scored 5 from the last two games, Tom Liversedge looks to be the on form striker for Bedford.
For those fans seeking alternate ways to travel to the match…
Being a local match, there is NO coach booked. If you don’t already, it may also be worth following @SaintsCarShare on Twitter which is the unofficial St Ives Town account helping supporters travel to away games by car sharing and is run by @rebel33foghorn. Updates will also occasionally be tweeted by @stivestownfc.
If you are considering driving and have space in your car, it would be appreciated if you could drop by at the club at 1.30pm in case anyone is in need of transport.
Hope to see as many fans as possible cheering on the Saints.
