THE U13 WIN LEAGUE CUP FINAL THRILLER

The Ladies 1st team head the Cambs Premiership table by 5 points with 3 games to play after picking up 4 points in a double header against Peterborough ICA Sports.

The Ives won the first game 1-0 courtesy of an Amy Seymour-Shove goal with Georgia Stancombe ‘Player of the Match’.

The second game ended in a 2-2 draw with Katherine Speed scoring both the Ives goals as well as being ‘Player of the Match’

The U15’s lost 0-3 at home to Histon in the EJA league.

Manager Paul Everest had the following to say –

We had a tough encounter against Histon today. Histon won 3 – 0 and were deserved winners. 3 games to play, playing for pride and enjoyment to see out our 1st season in the fantastic EJA League. Thanks to everyone for making it a geat season.

The U14’s lost 1-2 at Woodbridge Town.

The management had the following to say –

We took the long journey to Woodbridge this morning and lost a great encounter 2-1. As they say, it really is a game of two 1/2s!!

The U13’s won the League Cup final in a thrilling encounter at the Cambridge Stadium to beat Bluntisham Blasters 1-0

In an end to end game which could’ve gone either way, it was eventually settled in the second half with a long range effort by Harvey Donaldson. It was a superb goal, fit for a final.

The whole team were awarded ‘Players of the Match’ who brought home the first trophy of the season for St Ives Town FC family.
