High placings in the Southern Premier Respect Table and the Annual Programme Awards

Although we weren’t as successful on the pitch as we have been in recent seasons, the club did very well in other areas.

We finished in 3rd place in the Respect table in the Southern Premier division on 852 points.

Points are awarded against the referee’s report for all sections, except for the pitch.

Teams receive 10 points if they receive an excellent report, seven for good, five for satisfactory and two for poor.

Sections included involve officials and bences, match officials’ dressing room and hospitality.

Home clubs can achieve a maximum score of 30 points per game, while away teams can get 10.

Marks are deducted as follows: Four points if a player receives a booking for dissent, and 12 points if they are sent off for foul and abusive language, which included bench personnel.

The club also did very well with it’s 2017/18 match day programme in the Annual Soccer Club Swap Shop Programme Awards placing 26th nationally out of over 640 entries

Programme editor Dave Hook would like to thank Nigel Howlett for his match reports, Louise Thompson for her match photos, Ricky Marheineke for his ‘Managers notes’ and regular guest contributors Brian Buck, Mat Guy & Mike Hodson. Without any of their valuable input, we would not have placed anywhere near as high.
