As St Ives Town FC and Cambridge City FC commenced ground share negotiations a major point of discussion was the excellent communication network provided by the guided bus route linking Cambridge, St Ives and the surrounding villages.
Mark Taylor (Commercial Director) commented that ‘as talks progressed it was obvious that the guided bus system was a fantastic transport link between the two clubs to make travel into and from the ProEdge Stadium by supporters very easy and comfortable. Many of our own fans already use the service on a regular basis for social and business trips with first class feedback. This made the deal so much more achievable. To now have a company of Stagecoach’s stature and reputation as a sponsor of the club is so important to it’s progression and we look forward to developing our relationship more and more with them in the coming years. What is so impressive about Stagecoach is their real focus on the Community and Environment.
Andy Campbell (Stagecoach Managing Director) said “We are delighted to support our local teams and are encouraged that supporters use the Busway services to travel with us on match days”
