EXCLUSIVE: St Ives Town FC Announces Squad Update
The manager has been very busy during the last couple of weeks. As with all clubs at this time of year, Ricky has not only been speaking with potential new players for the coming season but also the squad who currently finished our successful first season in The EvoStik Southern Premier Division.
We are pleased to bring you an update on the playing squad so far. We can confirm that all the players listed below have agreed in principle deals for next season, with the signings proudly revealed by our betting partners at bethut.co.uk.
Goalkeeper Tim Trebes along with defenders Jordan Jarrold, Lee Chaffey, Liam McDevitt, Jack Bradshaw and captain Charlie De’Ath will be joined by midfielders Ben Seymour Shove, Peter Clark, Eugene Libertucci and Tom McGowan and finally Danny Kelly and Dubi Ogbonna in returning to the club for the season ahead.
Charlie Day is the only missing player from last season to confirm for next year. This is due to Charlie leaving for a travelling adventure and the dates are not yet confirmed for his departure.
The manager had this to say: “it’s great to have spoken with all of last seasons squad and have them all on board again for next season. It’s always important when you are trying to improve as a team you retain the majority of your squad and are not making wholesale changes. It’s about progression not rebuilding. We have an excellent group of players and I’m looking forward to next season”.
Further news on the playing squad and the manager’s new signings will be released within the next few days.
