Ground Sharing Deal AgreedCambridge City FC Website

Report source: Cambridge News

Cambridge City FC have agreed an arrangement with SITFC to ground share next season. City will play their homes games at the Pro-Edge Westwood Road Stadium for initially, one season until their new permanent ground in Sawston is complete.

Their present deal with Histon will be drawing to a close at the end of May.

Considering The Lilywhites play one league above The Ives, some ground improvements will be needed in order to meet the requirements of non-league step 3, this will include a new 100 seat stand, a covered standing area and an additional turn style.

Announced separately, Gary Clarke also stated some much needed work to the pitch to help address drainage issues will also be tackled.

Both clubs are thrilled about the arrangement and look forward to working with each other.
